Complete Matwork Series Overview

If you want to start teaching Pilates classes, The Complete Pilates Matwork Series is the place to start. You will learn the Pilates principles and Polestar's approach to functional movement. Plus topics like program design, exercise sequencing, techniques, cueing, and everything you need to teach mat classes with confidence. It takes 3 months to complete the face-to-face training, with one weekend per month for 3 months. Plus another 80 hours of self-mastery and 50 hours of apprentice teaching. When you pass your written and practical exam, you graduate as a Polestar Certified Matwork Pilates Teacher.

MAT ONLINE COURSE - All dates and times are Tuesday & Thursday 6:00pm – 8:00pm AEST

For those students who prefer to attend the course at home on a more spread out schedule. Live virtual sessions which include lectures with your educator per module, checkoffs, online quizzes, homework. Teaching and exercise library included in coursework. Registrations close two weeks prior to start of first virtual session, to allow time to complete the first module of Principles.

$2940
Initial deposit of $740 + 2.6% processing fee, followed by 4 payments of $550.
These payments will be set up by Ezi Debit once registration is complete. Instructions to follow via e-mail after registration is confirmed.

 

PRE-REQUISITES

Minimum requirements for entry into this course listed below and evidence is required at registration:

  • Attainment of HSC or higher qualification
  • A good understanding of Pilates –we recommend completing a minimum of 25 hours of personal Pilates practice either this may include matwork and studio work
  • Anatomy & Physiology - successful completion of an Anatomy and Physiology course through a recognised education body

 

If you are already qualified in one of the following occupations you would meet the Anatomy & Physiology pre-perquisites: Physiotherapist, Osteopath, Exercise Physiologist, Nurse, Myotherapist, Remedial Massage Therapist, Cert IV Personal Trainer.

However, if you are from a different background and have NOT completed any basic Anatomy and Physiology education Polestar has created an online Anatomy course specifically designed as an introduction to muscle skeleton anatomy for movers and movement teachers.
